Lodi, California Newborn Photographer | Guiliana's Newborn Session

Beautiful little Guiliana is baby #2 for mom & dad and after having one little boy, they were so thrilled to have their girl, too! Momma (a friend of mine from high school) asked for all the girly things and some neutrals and I think that mission was accomplished! I just love when parents give me the green light to use colors and creativity how I want and just trust in my vision. They did just that! We incorporated creams (one of my favorites for girls - so classic), light pinks, and a bit of lavender. I definitely think lavender and pink are her colors. They made her skin stand out so beautifully!

Big brother (one of my newborns from 2 years ago!), despite loving his sister at home, was not feeling it when he got to the studio. Sometimes little siblings take a bit to warm up but after a little convincing (and bribing), we got the sweetest shots of him with his new baby. That shot with his huge grin (check it out right below this!) just melts me. He is truly just the sweetest toddler ever and I was a total sucker for him. The icing on the cake was seeing how much Guiliana is his little girly twin!

Baby Aubrey ~ Lathrop Newborn Photographer

I never can quite get over the joy that I get to experience when I capture a family during their maternity session and I later get that text that their sweet baby has finally arrived. It's this connection I get to create with a family that means the world to me and I feel an instant connection to baby as soon as he or she comes Earth-side! 

Sweet little Aubrey was no exception. That text message of her sweet little face just moments after her arrival absolutely made my heart sing knowing she and mama were safe and that I would soon get to meet her since seeing her in the belly. She was just the sweetest little girl and the first girl to the family so it was so fun to celebrate her and put some majorly girly twists on her session like big flowers and lots of pink!

2017 Wrap Up ~ Lodi Newborn Photographer

Well! It's been quite a year! These are only some of the sessions that I had the honor of capturing this year! Clearly blogging has not been my forte this year (New Years resolution much??! haha!) but I just had to make sure I at least posted this so you were able to see how wonderful this year has truly been! 

Not only have I had the honor of capturing growing bellies but getting to watch them bloom into a little person never ceases to amaze me. I can't decide if that's my favorite part of this job or my Milestone Package. Watching each baby grow at 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months is just SO fun. Every time I think they've grown just a little, I go back and look at that first session and my mind is blown! The changes these little people go through in such a short amount of time during that first year is part of the reason I love doing the package so much! It makes sure that you don't miss a beat and you're able to have this growth documented in the most fun way! 

It's hard to believe that the year is over but I am so excited to see what 2018 holds!

Baby Giavanna ~ Escalon Newborn Photographer

Welcome to the world, sweet Giavanna! 

One day, I received a call from a very excited Grandma who couldn't wait to surprise her daughter with a newborn session for her brand new baby. Just hearing her excitement for the new addition on the phone made me excited, too! As soon as Bianca and James brought their beautiful newborn into the studio, I could see why there was so much love all around. Not only were they such a sweet couple but their little girl was just beyond darling and she was an awesome little model! 

It warmed my heart watching them watch her as I posed and moved her into different props that incorporated the colors that they loved and that matched their home. I love when parents have something sentimental they'd like incorporated into their session and this little family was no exception! Bianca brought in an adorable big flowered headband for a few shots that just made us all giggle with glee when we put it on her. James brought in a bonnet 

Baby Ivy ~ Lodi Newborn Photographer

I love when the weather and light gives us the perfect opportunity for outdoor sessions! They're not for everyone but when parents do request them, they are pure MAGIC! It was almost a little kismet that her name was Ivy, too! When her momma asked for a fairy princess theme, my mind went wild and I had so much fun playing dress with this sweet girl!

Baby Oliver ~ Manteca Newborn Photographer

Sweet little Oliver's mama contacted me about a month before he was due and it was the absolute perfect time to schedule a newborn session for her pending birth! Not many new mama's know that ideally, it works best to schedule your session well before baby arrives! While it seems difficult to schedule a baby who will inevitably arrive whenever he or she wants to, I always tell new parents that scheduling can always be adjusted but it is so much better to do so ahead of time if at all possible. 

Once Oliver arrived and his wonderful parents brought him in, I couldn't believe not only how adorable he was but how awesome his hair was! Doesn't he just have the best hair? 

After a client sends in their initial inquiry and are ready to book, I send you a booking form that asks a few personal questions to let me get to know you better! One of those questions asks what kind of color scheme might fit your home and what fits your personality. Oliver's mama asked for grays, creams, and navy which has been a popular but perfect combination for boys this season!

And with mom & dad's permission, I try to add in an extra dash of color that they might not have considered. Parents always love that unexpected twist to their photos! Here, I used some burnt orange that came all the way from Europe!

Little Oliver did a great job during his session but he definitely had a period of time where he decided to stay up and chat a bit! He was wide awake but honestly, it was awesome because despite being so alert, he still let me pose him! How darling is he??!

He eventually gave in and let us finish out our session with some dreamy shots.
